The Junior Project Accountant provides financial and administrative support to project teams by maintaining accurate project accounting records, coordinating billing and invoicing, processing project-related transactions, and supporting accounts receivable activities.
This role works closely with Project Managers and the Finance team to ensure projects are accurately set up, billed, and monitored in accordance with contractual requirements and company procedures.

Promote quality, ensure processes needed for the Quality Management System (QMS) are established, implemented and maintained.
Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization and ensure that the quality control on all projects is managed in a consistent manner.
Liaise with the regulatory bodies and ensure compliance to provincial, national and international standards, legislation and quality standards.
Responsible for leading and assisting the project team members to ensure compliance with the client, industry and internal quality requirements.
Perform review of the Quality Management System at planned intervals to ensure its continuing suitability and effectiveness (opportunities for improvement).
Work with Project Management Team/purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for all Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Prepare and coordinate audits, both spot internal audits and regulatory formal external audits, monitoring activities and project reviews.
Manage and ensure all NCRs and PARs issued are addressed on time.
Report to Senior Management on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement.
Maintain a complete file of records of QA/QC for all projects.
Responsible to auditing the progress of the quality documentation as projects progress.
This will involve site visits to all construction sites on an ongoing basis.
Responsible for the final review of all quality documentation prior to release to the client and the managing of the individuals compiling information on the job sites.
Local shop fabrication (when done by others) inspection of structural steel and coatings for both structural steel and piping.
Develop, implement and maintain ITPs (Inspection Test Packages) as they apply to client specifications and industry standards on projects.
This will also require other aspects of quality such as; Civil, concrete and structural steel erection, Manufacturing / Fabrication and Electrical / Instrumentation.
Responsible for the hiring or approval of new hires and mentoring of site quality personnel as well as ensuing that those individuals have the appropriate accreditation and that certificates are up to date.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Skills Ability to learn new software with proficiency of Microsoft Officeapplications, specifically Microsoft Excel.

Good mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of all aspects of A/R processes and practices.
Required Experience Completion of Grade 12 Diploma or GED.
Accounts Receivable or Project Accounting experience is an asset.
