The Waterford is seeking a dedicated Recreation Assistant to enhance the vibrant community of seniors in South Delta. Contribute to residents' happiness through engaging activities and programs.
As part of your role, you will assist the Recreation Manager in facilitating programs that cater to various social and emotional needs. This position requires creativity and a strong commitment to upholding the dignity and comfort of residents. You will work with a team to organize, evaluate, and continually improve recreational offerings, ensuring a stimulating setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize and lead daily recreational programs and activities
• Support the objectives and standards of the activity programs
• Prepare monthly calendars and updates for residents
• Foster community and family involvement in activities
• Report changes in residents' wellness to the Recreation Manager
Requirements:
• Diploma in a related recreation program
• Basic First Aid Certification needed
• At least one year in a relevant recreational role
• Class 4 Driver's License or intent to acquire
• Ability to operate equipment safely and effectively
