Responsibilities (Position Details)

- Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
- Teach online and in-person sessions
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
- Fill in post-lesson notes
- Complete daily student communication updates
- Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience considered
- Teaching certification is an asset
- Valuable knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 French core curriculum

Experience





- Some experience teaching/tutoring French at Grade 9–12 (or equivalent)
- Strong English written and oral communication skills
- Strong French skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
- Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time

Requirements

- In-person role; commute to the Woodbridge location required
- Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory
- Availability during after-school and evening hours (4:00 pm–8:00 pm) and some Saturdays (10:00 am–3:00 pm); commitment through the end of the school year preferred; summer continuation encouraged

Salary

$18–$19 per hour
