Work Term: Permanent Work Language: English Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting Construction Repair Various locations Maintenance Commercial Residential Tasks Professionalism in customer service Install underground wiring and cables Keep maintenance reports and documentation Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations Splice, join and connect wires Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits Troubleshoot and isolate faults Estimate costs and materials Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications Support for persons with disabilities Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work workplace for persons with disabilities Support for newcomers and refugees Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.) Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.)
