Reporting to the Director, External Reporting, Internal Controls and Compliance, and working closely with others in Finance and our cross-functional partners, you will use your experience in technical accounting and internal controls to develop accounting position papers, prepare our quarterly external reporting, help lead and prepare our statutory audit requirements, and maintain an effective reporting and control environment for D2L’s operations. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment supporting the company’s global operations, and continued growth and expansion. You will remain up-to-date on recent developments from IFRS and Annual Reporting and Continuous Disclosure obligations. This position requires an individual who can work well both independently and within a team, as well as possess exceptional communication (written/oral),



attention to detail and organizational skills.How You Will Make an Impact?Quarterly and annual financial statement preparation for various stakeholdersPreparation of quarterly and annual MD&A; and related Board materialsResearch and analyze technical accounting matters for key business initiatives and develop related accounting policiesAs complex accounting transactions arise (M&A; and business combinations, etc.), research and prepare technical memos and work with external auditors to ensure the transactions are signed off in a timely mannerPerform corporate contract reviews for accounting recognition considerationsSupport the annual financial statement audit, annual statutory audits and quarterly reviews, working closely with various external stakeholdersSupport key stakeholders across the organization on internal controls best practicesAssist with designing and implementing internal controls as well as maintenance of the internal control environmentDeep understanding of business processes and ability to propose and implement improvements to support efficiency and effectiveness in business operations and financial reporting best practicesSupport the Order-to-Cash function, including preparation of monthly revenue analysis, journal entries, reconciliations and/or reporting as requiredAssist with other period-end close procedures as requiredCollaborate across finance and other departments on special projects as requiredCompetenciesWhat You’ll Bring to the Role:You have strong interpersonal skills allowing you to act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholdersYou are a proactive self-starter who takes initiative and works well both independently and within a teamYou have a natural curiosity that fuels your focus on continuous improvement and challenging the status quoYou are a problem solver that takes ownership over the final implemented solutionYou have experience recommending,
