Attendant Services Worker - Outreach

We are currently looking to fill immediately:casual - days or eveningsG/G2 license and own vehicle is required, driving time between clients is paid, and travel KMs are reimbursed (50 cents per KM)Why Join our team: Full time, Part-time, and Casual roles available

Responsibilities: To assist adults with physical disabilities and seniors with activities of daily living.
Our clients self-direct their care and live independently.
Activities include: Transferring/positioning/turning
Dressing/undressing
Washing/bathing
Toileting including bowel, bladder and catheter care
Light housekeeping/laundry assistance
Meal preparation/assistance with eating
Follow through on programs developed by an occupational therapist, physiotherapist and/or speech therapist
Qualifications & Requirements:PSW certification or experience in the field preferred
Vehicle, valid driver''s license, proof of valid insurance
Ability to work shifts including days and/or evenings
Commitment to work alternate weekends
Successful Vulnerable Sector Police Check within the last 6 months
Employment medical and up to date immunizations

On-going Infection Prevention and Control measures, education, and support Wellness matters, our Employee Assistance Program is free and confidential for all employees and family members.
Services include, but are not limited to, counselling (individual, family, children, couples, credit), wellness promotion, financial literacy programs and assorted therapies as needed
Staff are required to work in client homes, and therefore may be exposed to second-hand smoke, pets, household cleaners. GIL ensures that our policies and procedures are accurate and up to date to ensure worker safetyGIL provides vehicle emergency safety packages and safe driving training
We have a solid Joint Health and Safety Committee to help keep you safe
