SME3450-Material Handling Lind Full Time Lindsay, ON $23 - $26 CAD per hour

Sunspace Modular Enclosures is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join our Lindsay manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be safety-focused, organized and comfortable using computers to complete inventory and material transactions.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a forklift to move materials throughout the facility
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
- Supply production areas with required materials
- Receive, identify and properly store inventory
- Use computer systems to record inventory movements and material transactions
- Complete shipping, receiving and inventory documentation
- Verify quantities and report inventory discrepancies
- Conduct daily forklift inspections
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all health and safety procedures




- Assist with other warehouse and production duties as required

Qualifications

- Previous forklift operating experience is required
- Valid forklift certification is preferred
- Comfortable using computers and learning inventory-management software
- Previous experience with shipping, receiving or inventory control is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Able to safely lift and move materials as required
- Dependable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting is an asset
