We are looking for two warm, reliable and experienced babysitters to help with childcare during our wedding this Saturday, August 22 at Hastings House on Salt Spring Island.

All of the children''s parents will be attending the wedding and will remain on-site throughout the evening.

This is not a situation where the sitters will be solely responsible for a large group of children all night parents and children will be coming and going, and we''ve arranged dedicated spaces for the kids.

Sitter #1 Kids'' Activity & Dinner Space We will have a dedicated children''s activity/dinner space at the wedding for approximately 57 children, ranging in age from 27.

Not all children will necessarily be there at once, and parents will be nearby and coming and going throughout the evening.

We''re looking for someone to essentially host the kids'' space helping with dinner, supervising play, doing activities, keeping everyone happy and protected, and generally making it a fun place for the kids to hang out during the wedding.

Sitter #2 Cottage / Bedtime We are also looking for a second sitter to help with three siblings, ages 1, 3 and 5.





They will participate in the wedding earlier in the evening and then return to their family''s cottage on the property for bedtime.

We would like someone to stay with them at the cottage once they''re in bed so their parents can return to the reception while remaining close by on the property.

Date: Saturday, August 22, 2026 Location: Hastings House, Salt Spring Island Pay: $40/hour per sitter Position: One-time wedding childcare Our previously arranged childcare unfortunately fell through at the last minute, so we''re hoping to find two wonderful people as soon as possible.

Experience caring for young children is important, particularly for the cottage position because one child is 1 year old.

First Aid/CPR is strongly preferred.
