Job Title: Business Analyst - Senior Location: Toronto, ON Work Model: Onsite Duration: 11 months Extension: 1 Time Must Haves 8+ years'' experience in business analysis Demonstrated experience facilitating JAD session Experience with Azure cloud technologies.
Figma, HTML, CSS Creating detailed business analysis documents, user stories, business case Description / Responsibilities / Skills Responsibilities Provides a comprehensive range of I⁢ business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, best practices and standards to promote a comprehensive and consistent business analysis practice.
Applies re-engineering concepts to promote business improvements through alternative and cost effective service delivery approaches.
Conducts business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; business rules definition.
Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to I⁢ management and stakeholders.
Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up.
Knowledge and Skills Business Analysis experience in large IT organizations, preferably within an OPS environment.
Hands on experience in Agile, Waterfall, Iterative Agile, and Product management methodologies.
Resume Evaluation Criteria Participate in governance working group meetings, analysing, recommending, documenting and implementing architecture and SDLC best practices.
Demonstrated experience negotiating with business stakeholders on functional design issues and detailed solution design sessions.
Experience documenting project status reports, project tracking for resources, finances, progress, issues and risks.
Knowledge Transfer All documentation relating to the application/functional and technical specifications for systems development, including design, components, process flows.
Knowledge Transfer to occur throughout the project life cycle via 1:1 meetings, team meetings, documentation on Share
Point site.
Deliverables All documentation relating to the application/functional and technical specifications for systems development.
Design, components, process flows, other documentation that was developed/updated.
Project status reports, project tracking for resources, finances, progress, issues and risks.
Experience & Skill Set Requirements Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated experience in UAT Knowledge of native capabilities of the system that needs to provide the functionality of courts case management Business Analysis experience at the specified level in large IT organizations, preferably within an OPS setting Excellent facilitation and presentation skills Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft suite including, Word, Excel, Visio and Power
Point Experience with OPS I⁢ Processes, Standards and artifacts Outlining problems,
opportunities and solutions for a business Budgeting and forecasting Hands on experience in various project and product delivery methodologies such as: Agile Waterfall Iterative Agile Product management Criteria 1: Business Analyst Skills = 40 Points Oral and written communication skills, Interpersonal and consultative skills, Facilitation skills Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Demonstrable knowledge of applying formal system development life-cycle (SDLC) methodologies, waterfall and iterative (agile) Contribute to technical policies, plans, procedures, standards, guidelines, tools, techniques, documentation and performance criteria for the Integration Framework Criteria 2: Technical Skills = 30 Points Programming languages, Common operating systems, Software proficiency Participate in governance working group meetings, analysing, recommending, documenting and implementing architecture, operational, SDLC and information architecture best practices.
Criteria 3: Communications Skills = 20 Points Demonstrated experience in negotiating with business stakeholders on functional design issues and detailed solution design sessions, negotiating on issues for production Experience in documenting project status reports, project tracking for resources, finances, progress, issues and risks Public Sector Experience = 10 points Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations Nice to have Experience with user centric website/forms design Knowledge Transfer All documentation relating to the application /functional and technical specifications for systems development.
