UPS is hiring a Package Handler for the early morning shift (3:00 AM – 9:45 AM) at their Quebec City, Quebec facility.
Job Summary
This position is responsible for loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking packages. The employee may utilize heavy machinery to complete tasks. This position performs other tasks as assigned in a rapid‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Learns and properly executes UPS package handling methods
- Loads and unloads UPS packages into trailers or package cars
- Scans and sorts packages for accurate routing
- Stocks packages in appropriate facility areas
- Operates heavy machinery when required
- Memorizes postal codes for sorting accuracy
Compensation
- Starting hourly rate: $18.50/h
- Maximum rate: $31.49/h (after probation + 48-month progression)
- Approximately 3–5 hours per day
- Overtime after 5 hours of work
- Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 (conditions may apply)
Shift
Monday to Friday, 3:00 AM – 9:45 AM. Minimum 3 hours per day, up to 5 days per week.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kg
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes
- Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
