Location: West 57th Ave, Vancouver

Schedule: Every Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours/day)

Pay: $30.00 / hour (All outing expenses, admission tickets, and gas/mileage are fully reimbursed)

About the Role & Saturday Routine

Both parents work on Saturdays, and we are looking for a reliable, energetic, and caring nanny/companion to take our 6-year-old son out for fun, active weekend adventures.

He loves being outdoors and thrives on this balanced rhythm:

Morning (9:00 AM – 12:30 PM): Outdoor adventures (parks, beaches, splash pads, kid-friendly hikes, swimming, picnics, or indoor play centers on rainy days).

Midday (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM): Quiet downtime at home (he enjoys his prepared meal, builds Lego / Marble Run, and has relaxing screen time).

Afternoon (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Another fun afternoon outing before returning home.

About Our Son

He is a gentle, sweet 6-year-old on the mild-to-moderate autism spectrum.

He received 35 hours/week of intensive early intervention starting at age 2 and has excellent behavioral habits.

He is currently non-speaking, but he understands almost all verbal instructions and follows routines beautifully (he waits patiently, lines up, and stays close without running off).

He has no aggressive behaviors and rarely has meltdowns. Past aides and caregivers consistently describe him as one of the sweetest, happiest, and easiest kids to take care of.

What We Are Looking For:

Genuine warmth, positive energy, patience, and love for kids.

Active and enthusiastic about outdoor activities.





Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (preferred for outings; mileage/gas fully covered).

CPR/First Aid certification and clear background check (or willingness to obtain).

A Note on Experience — What We Learned From Our Previous Nanny:

In the past, we assumed we only needed caregivers with years of formal special education (SEN) credentials. However, before moving to Vancouver, our son’s absolute favorite caregiver was a warm, attentive summer camp counselor who had just graduated high school.

Even without a formal special needs background, she built an incredible, natural bond with him simply through genuine presence, kindness, and active engagement. She loved working with him so much that before we relocated, she put together a comprehensive "Care Tips & Insider Guide" detailing his favorite routines, communication cues, and fun tricks to help our next nanny transition smoothly.

Because of this, we believe genuine connection, attentiveness, and enthusiasm matter far more than formal credentials! We will happily share her onboarding guide with you so you feel completely supported from day one.
