The Facility Operator will perform a variety of tasks related to ice installation and preparations, event setup and teardown, housekeeping duties, preventative facility maintenance, emergency repairs, and day-to-day operations while maintaining a cohesive and team-approach work environment with an expectation of a high level of customer service.
This role pays an hourly rate of $20.00-$22.00 CADBenefits for Full time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Pension matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and statutory holidays).
This position will remain open until November 20, 2026Assist with arena ice installation, removal, and daily, weekly maintenance.
Resurface hockey ice based on usage and need.
The resurface schedule may change from day to day.
Operate equipment including staging, audiovisual, lighting, small equipment tools, pallet jacks, forklifts, ice resurfacers, edgers, etc.
Assist with event preparations including, but not limited to, stage setup and teardown, setting of tables and chairs, AV equipment, and meeting room spaces as required.
Set up and tear down and preparation of Main Tenant games and/or events
Respond immediately to emergency situations (fire, evacuation, equipment failure, etc.) and customer concerns as required.
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and fans.
Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Perform maintenance including but not limited to painting, drywall repairs, maintaining exterior sidewalks, snow and ice removal, parking lots and grounds, and various other tasks.
Cleaning to meet sanitation requirements and protocols.
Areas included but not limited to: bathrooms, bowl seating, common areas, dressing rooms, hockey benches, meeting rooms1 year of experience cleaning a business facility preferred.
Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders/work from heights as required.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
Able to work independently and as part of a team as well as under minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service.
Previous experience using pallet jacks, forklifts, ice resurfacers, and/or edgers is a plus.
Strong communication skills required.
