Description

We are looking for one responsible caregiver to help take care of one elderly person in Richmond Hill, ON.

Work will be performed in the employer’s/client’s home. Public transportation is available, and the caregiver should be willing to travel. Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live‑in basis. Note: This is not a condition of employment.

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent, Day, Evening shifts.

Wage: $21 per hour for 30–44 hours per week.

Education: Secondary (high) school certificate.

Work experience: 6 months experience is preferred, and a vulnerable sector check is required.

Languages: English.

Job duties

- Administer bedside and personal care.
- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of the householder.
- Feed or assist in feeding.
- Shop for food and household supplies.
- Provide personal care and companionship.
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
