As a part of this, Ayrton is looking to hire a dynamic Mechanical Engineer to help develop our technology into a commercial product.You will love this job if:You enjoy working on the frontier of energy systems technology development, where the answers aren't always clear, and you get to find new solutions to challenges being faced for the first timeYou thrive in fast-paced technology development environments where practical problem-solving is valued and are comfortable in engineering offices, shop and lab environmentsYou have a proven track record of taking ownership of projects from concept through fabrication, testing, and deploymentYou quickly identify issues and implement efficient, cost-effective solutionsYou want to work with a small, highly motivated team where everyone contributes beyond their job titleYou have a passion for clean technology and a desire to develop products for a sustainable futureYour Responsibilities:Design process piping and fluid systems for field deployment of Ayrton Energy's Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC) technologyMechanical design of lab test equipment to support the technology development teamSpecify, source, and evaluate mechanical componentsCollaborate with Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, and Tech Dev teams to rapidly develop and improve productsPerform engineering calculations related to fluid flow, pressure drop, thermal management, and mechanical integrityGenerate design documentation including component and assembly drawings,



process drawings and fabrication drawings to enable successful design review and manufactureWork closely with technicians, suppliers, fabricators, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs are practical and manufacturableLead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of mechanical, fluid system, and equipment issuesOrganize system testing, analyze performance data and implement design improvements based on test resultsEnsure systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety requirementsSupport hazard reviews, risk assessments, and safe operating proceduresYour Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)Minimum 8 years of relevant experience designing, building and testing fluid systemsStrong hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, piping systems, fluid systems, and industrial equipmentDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and process-related issues in laboratory, pilot, or industrial environmentsExperience working with Solidworks CAD software to produce design and manufacturing drawings including use of GD&TTrack; record of translating prototype designs into commercially viable productsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExcellent problem-solving abilities,
