Automotive Service Technician (NOC 72410) – Red Seal / Trade Certified

Job Duties:

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain automobiles and light trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and drivetrain system repairs
- Utilize contemporary diagnostic scan tools and OEM-level software
- Conduct inspections and testing of automotive systems and components
- Complete warranty repairs and service documentation accurately
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members
- Maintain a clean and safe work setting
- Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices (if applicable)

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, Full-time

40 hours per week

Language of Work:

English

Wage:

$32.00 to $38.50 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and seniority).

Overtime paid as per Nova Scotia Labour Standards.

Education & Certification:

- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (Certificate of Qualification) OR Red Seal endorsement

OR

- Eligible for immediate Nova Scotia Automotive Service Technician certification

Experience:

- Minimum 5 years of recent, hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing automobiles and light trucks
- 10+ years is considered as asset for senior/lead-level roles

Additional Requirements:

- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
- Clean criminal record check and vulnerable sector check
- Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
- Detail-oriented with strong workmanship standards
- Team-oriented attitude

Work Conditions:

On-site position. Extended periods of standing, handling heavy objects, exposure to noise and varying temperatures. Occasional overtime, weekend shifts, and on-call rotation may be required.
