Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
Adjust,

repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
Repair or replace mechanical units or components
Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
Perform scheduled maintenance service
Test and adjust units to specifications
Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Coach and instruct apprentices
Provide customer service

Requirements
No degree,

certificate, or diploma required.
Must have a minimum of 5 years or more of experience as Automotive Mechanic.
Must have area of specialization in engine repair and diesel engines
Must have diesel engine repair specialization and major internal engine repairs or overhaul.
Must have a criminal record check and driving record check (abstract).




Must have own transportation and a valid driver's licence.
Must be willing to work in a rapid-paced environment, with hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and standing for extended periods.
Must have own tools and steel-toed safety boots.
Must have accuracy,

client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, reliability, and be a team player.
Must have an

Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
Must be able to communicate in English.
Must be willing to work onsite.
