Henderson’s Meats is looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our team as a Kill Floor Worker / Meat Processing Labourer.

This is a hands-on position working in our provincially licensed abattoir. The successful applicant must be comfortable working around livestock and participating in the slaughter and dressing process.

Main Duties
Assist with livestock slaughter and dressing
Skinning, evisceration and carcass preparation
Handling and moving carcasses and meat products
Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas
Following food safety, animal welfare and workplace safety procedures
Working as part of a team to keep production running safely and efficiently
Other meat-processing and general labour duties as required

What We’re Looking For
Reliable and able to arrive on time
Physically capable of repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods
Comfortable working in a meat-processing/slaughter setting
Able to work safely with knives and processing equipment
Willing to learn and follow instructions
Able to work well as part of a team
Previous slaughterhouse, farm,



butcher or meat-processing experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person
