The Design Build Crew will be required to assist the crew leader or the lead hand in preparing the job site for day-to-day activities. They will be tasked with cleaning and preparation of job sites and operating a variety of tools and equipment to complete the job.

Primary Duties
Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
Lubricate, clean, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and tools.
Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
Provide physical labor, including heavy lifting.
Measure, mark, and record openings and distances to lay out areas where construction work will be performed.
Perform demolition work and salvage helpful materials.
Read and interpret plans, instructions, blueprints, structural drawings, rough sketches, and specifications to determine work activities.
Interact professionally with clients and assist them through any issues they may have.
Other duties as assigned by management.

Applicant Requirements
Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training in Horticulture or Landscape Technology
Appropriate credentials and certifications, including WHMIS, First Aid, CPR
Previous experience in landscape construction is an asset
Robust knowledge of landscaping equipment, materials, and best practices
Possess a valid driver’s license
Work independently in a busy environment
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Work well under pressure
Robust attention to detail
Interact with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
Willing to teach and learn from others

Salary Range

$21 – $40+ per hour
