Retail Store Associate – Job Description 888 Asian Variety Store is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hardworking Retail Store Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service while helping with the daily operation of the store. Responsibilities - Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service. - Operate the cash register/POS and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately. - Stock and organize grocery products, coolers, and freezers. - Receive deliveries and check products for quantity, quality, and damage. - Check expiration dates and rotate inventory using FIFO. - Maintain accurate product pricing and shelf labels. - Keep the store, shelves, counters, and customer areas clean and organized. - Assist customers in locating products and answering general questions. - Help with inventory counts and restocking. - Assist with U-Haul, UMAC, and other store services after required training.



- Assist with authorized remittance services such as Western Union, Ria, and Family Express after completing all required training and compliance requirements. - Complete opening and closing duties as assigned. - Follow store policies, safety procedures, and loss-prevention practices. - Perform other reasonable duties required for daily store operations. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is dependable, punctual, honest, friendly, and willing to learn. Previous retail, grocery, cashier, or customer service experience is an asset but not required. The employee must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, handling multiple responsibilities, and providing respectful service to customers from diverse backgrounds.
