Student Supervision, Mentoring and Support

The House Don will:

● Establish, communicate, and consistently enforce reasonable house rules and residence expectations.

● Provide a calm, supportive adult presence for student athletes ages 14–20.

● Offer mentoring, encouragement, and practical support to residents as appropriate.

● Help residents develop independence, responsibility, healthy routines, and respectful communication.

● Address minor conflicts and behavioural concerns appropriately and escalate significant concerns according to residence policies.

● Maintain appropriate qualified boundaries with all residents.

● Communicate with parents or guardians as appropriate and as directed by the program, particularly regarding significant concerns, incidents, or student well-being.

● Maintain confidentiality while recognizing situations in which information must be shared for safety or legal reasons.

Transportation and Appointments





● The House Don may occasionally be required to provide transportation for a resident to an approved medical, dental, physiotherapy, or other health-related appointment, when reasonably necessary and authorized by the program.

● Transportation duties will be scheduled or approved in advance whenever reasonably possible.

● The House Don must hold a valid driver’s licence, have reliable access to an insured vehicle, and meet any applicable driver-screening requirements.

● The House Don is not responsible for providing medical treatment or making medical decisions for residents.

Safety and Escalation

The House Don is responsible for following established emergency, safeguarding, and incident-reporting procedures and for promptly notifying the appropriate program contact, parent/guardian, emergency service, or health qualified when circumstances require it.

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
