Duties
Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport freight over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of cargo
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues, perform basic automotive repairs if needed, and maintain vehicle safety standards
Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, manifests, and inspection reports
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries




Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to load or unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety protocols
Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards

Skills
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid Class 1 license
Solid knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations
Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment confidently
Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor mechanical issues
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Attention to detail in managing documentation and vehicle inspections
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
