We are seeking motivated and skilled Commercial Insulators and Firestoppers to join our growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing insulation materials and fire-stopping systems that enhance building energy efficiency and fire safety. Your expertise will contribute to creating secure, sustainable, and well-insulated environments for our clients.
This position offers an exciting chance to work on diverse projects, utilizing your craftsmanship and attention to detail to deliver top-quality results. Pay rates will be based on experience.
Please note: We are seeking experienced Commercial Insulators and Firestoppers only. Resumes from candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
Duties
Measure, cut, and install various insulation materials according to project specifications and blueprints
Apply fire-stopping products to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through structural openings
Use hand tools such as caulking guns, saws, drills, and trowels to perform installations efficiently
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes,
and project timelines
Collaborate with other tradespeople and team members to coordinate installation activities
Conduct quality checks on installed materials, ensuring proper fit, finish, and adherence to specifications
Requirements
Proven experience in commercial insulation installation and/or fire-stopping techniques
Knowledge of caulking, sealing methods, and the use of hand tools for construction tasks
Prior commercial construction experience is required
Familiarity with building codes and safety standards is an asset
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
Excellent physical stamina; able to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work at heights when necessary
Positive communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
