Overview

We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our landscaping crew as a Sod Driver/Installer. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely transporting sod to job sites and helping our team install it efficiently. No degree required—just a valid Class 5 driver’s license, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work hard.

The ideal candidate enjoys outdoor work, takes pride in a job well done, and is comfortable behind the wheel as well as on the ground. Prior landscaping or delivery experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.

What you’ll do:
Load, secure, and transport sod rolls to residential and commercial job sites
Roll out, cut, and install sod with the crew
Lift and carry heavy sod rolls (30–50 lbs repeatedly)
Prepare soil, rake, grade, and clean up job sites
Operate hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment (sod cutters, soil conditioners, etc.)
Conduct basic vehicle and equipment checks to ensure secure operation
Work outdoors as part of a small, efficient team—rain or shine

Responsibilities
Drive company vehicle to deliver sod and materials to job sites
Assist with sod installation, maintenance, and site preparation
Safely operate tools and equipment
Keep work sites clean, organized,



and hazard-free
Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and tools

Requirements
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (required)
Clean driving record (preferred)
Prior experience in landscaping, horticulture, construction, or delivery is a plus but not required
Strong physical stamina for outdoor labor in various weather conditions
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
Willingness to learn new skills
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Positive, reliable attitude—even when it’s hot, muddy, or traffic is heavy
