About the Role

As a Server at Picnic, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by providing attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service throughout each guest’s visit. You will take ownership of your assigned section, ensuring guests feel welcomed, well cared for, and supported from the moment they are seated until the completion of their meal. Working closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams, you will help maintain a smooth service flow while delivering the high level of hospitality that defines the Picnic experience.

Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of an assigned dining room or patio section, providing attentive service from greeting guests through payment completion
Welcome guests, guide them through the menu, take orders using the Clover POS handheld system, and ensure accurate order entry
Manage the pacing of each table’s experience, providing proactive and thoughtful service throughout the 90-minute dining period




Anticipate guest needs and create a friendly, engaging atmosphere that enhances their overall experience
Immediately communicate any allergies or dietary concerns to the Manager on Duty and ensure proper follow-up with the team
Coordinate with Food Runners, Hosts, and fellow team members by communicating course timing, table status, and section updates
Process payments accurately and efficiently while maintaining a positive final interaction with guests

Qualifications
Previous restaurant experience required
Smart Serve certification required
Solid communication and multitasking skills
Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and stay organized under pressure
Availability to work versatile shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays
