Job Posting: Prep Coverage and Resource Teacher (1-Year Contract)
Location: Remote Community, Northern Ontario

Candidate must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident AND be willing to relocate as soon as possible

Basics:
-1 year contract in a remote First Nations community in Northern Ontario (Wapekeka First Nation)
must have OCT in good standing
housing and relocation will be provided
knowledge of and/or experience working with Indigenous populations is beneficial

Key Responsibilities:
Teach a variety of subjects for elementary and continuing education students
Prep coverage for homeroom teachers
Implement reading recovery program
Work in small groups and one on one with students with special needs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning setting for students.




Create lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and cater to diverse learning needs.
Collaborate with colleagues and community members to deliver culturally relevant content
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and families.
Contribute to the overall development of students through extracurricular activities and community involvement
