The Company:

We are a fast pace full-service Chartered Professional Accountant firm with a young and energetic workplace located in the Chinook area of Calgary. We service owner-managed enterprises as well as large, privately held organizations with global operations. The firm is experiencing continued growth and there would be opportunities for the candidate to grow within the firm as well.

Junior Accountant Job Description:

-Work on files of corporations including notice to reader financial statements, corporate tax returns, and assurance engagements.
-During busy season there will be work on T1 personal tax returns, T5 summaries, T4 summaries, and other tax filings.
-Your duties will include preparing working paper files, drafting financial statements, preparing journal entries, preparing corporate tax returns, and conducting research on technical accounting matters.

The Ideal Candidate:
-Completion of degree or diploma in accounting
-Working knowledge of Caseware working papers, Profile, Jazz-It, and Microsoft Office suite




-Working knowledge of Simply Accounting and QuickBooks
-Fast pace individual who wants to grow in a qualified setting
-Wants to study and article towards your professional accounting designation.
-Flexibility to work late hours during busy season.
-Minimum experience is 0 - 2 years

Compensation:

Pay is matched with experience level, with medical benefits, and support for your education to obtain an accounting designation.
