Banh Mi & Bites, a Vietnamese restaurant in Strathroy, Ontario, is seeking a reliable and skilled Cook to join our team on a permanent, FULL TIME basis. The successful candidate will prepare and cook Vietnamese and fusion menu items to restaurant standards, working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Monitor and order supplies
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Manage kitchen operations
May prepare and cook special meals for patrons with dietary restrictions

Qualifications
Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential




Knowledge of food preparation techniques and basic cooking skills
Strong understanding of food handling safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude towards teamwork
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Passion for the food industry with a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
