Tim Hortons in Courtenay, BC is hiring a Baker at 2599 Cliffe Avenue. This is a full time position working 40 hours per week across various shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Work Setting

Bake shop / Café

Responsibilities
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Bake mixed dough and batters
Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Prepare special orders
Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff (1 to 2 people)
Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
Inspect kitchen and food service areas
Operate machinery
Organize and maintain inventory

Food Specialties

Breads and rolls, Desserts and pastries, Donuts and muffins

Work Conditions

Rapid-paced setting, attention to detail, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, work under pressure.

Requirements




Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in baking
Accurate, dependable, reliable, and a team player
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to distinguish between colours, hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity

Schedule

Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Night, Shift, Weekend

Salary

$18.25 per hour / 40 hours per week
