Join Douglas College as a part time instructor in Physics and Astronomy, starting Fall 2026. This regular probationary position allows you to engage students through creative teaching in college-level courses.The Department of Physics and Astronomy is seeking a dedicated individual for a part time instructor role where you will influence students' academic journeys. Courses include introductory physics and astronomy, with a workload plan of 2.0 sections in Fall and 4.0 sections in Winter.Key Responsibilities:
Instruct students in various physics courses
Guide and assess learning outcomes effectively
Organize and schedule learning resources
Maintain high standards of instructional quality
Create engaging curriculum for general physics and astronomyRequirements:
M.Sc. in Physics or equivalent; Ph.D. is an asset
Teaching experience at the post-secondary level required
Ability to teach astronomy in the evenings
Sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds
