Coast Mental Health seeks a Registered Nurse for a casual role focusing on psychiatric care in Vancouver. This position involves direct client assessment and crisis intervention on an as-needed basis.
As a Registered Nurse at Coast, you'll join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. You'll provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, pharmacotherapy, and implement care plans within a trauma-informed framework. This role offers flexibility with shifts tailored to operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct psychiatric assessments and crisis interventions
• Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on client progress
• Engage in direct care within a supported housing workplace
• Provide input into the program’s service design and goals
Requirements:
• Current BCCNP registration with three years of related experience
• Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver’s License and access to a vehicle
• Criminal Record Clearance from the Ministry of Justice
• Knowledge of psychopharmacology and mental illness treatment
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
