This full time position is centered on enhancing social assistance practices in Indian Brook.In this vital role, you report directly to the Executive Director, guiding the Social Department in alignment with Mi’kmaq traditions. Your leadership will drive program development, financial oversight, and performance monitoring of social assistance services. Candidates should be familiar with Indigenous community needs and have demonstrated experience in similar roles.Key Responsibilities:
Supervise social support workers ensuring clientele are served effectively
Lead the development and enhancement of service models




Ensure compliance with mandated funding requirements
Submit reports and monitor service outcomes
Respond to complex client concerns and risksRequirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant social service field
At least five years of leadership experience
Candidates with Indigenous community experience preferred
Knowledge of social programs and client systems
