Join the BC SPCA as a Farm Animal Care Specialist and make an impact on animal welfare. This part-time position focuses on caring for farm animals at the Nanaimo Community Animal Centre.

Working 32 hours per week from Wednesday to Saturday, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and welfare of farm animals while also assisting with companion animal tasks. This position requires robust communication and team-oriented abilities, as you will guide volunteers and coordinate responsibilities to enhance animal care efforts.

Key Responsibilities:



• Perform daily feeding and sanitation for animals • Support veterinarians in administering approved treatments • Monitor supply inventories for farm care needs • Document animal welfare assessments systematically • Facilitate positive experiences for animal adopters

Requirements: • High School Diploma with two years’ direct experience • Valid BC Driver’s License with a clean abstract • Understanding of animal welfare best practices • Robust interpersonal skills for community interactions • Physical endurance for hands-on responsibilities
