Join UHN as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Progressive and Geriatric Rehabilitation Unit, and play a key role in patient rehabilitation and care. This full time position offers evening shifts.
Working on the South 4 unit at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, you'll assist adults with complex health issues in regaining their independence. You'll participate in a team-oriented environment, working directly with patients and their families to implement effective care plans vital for recovery and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead nursing care planning for patient management • Mentor RPN students and newly hired staff on unit • Attend inter-qualified planning forums and rounds • Educate patients and caregivers about rehabilitation • Adhere to safety protocols and practices for patient care
Requirements: • Member of the College of Nurses of Ontario • Preferred: diploma from RPN program • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification done • Experience in Complex Continuing Care considered an asset • Strong decision-making and communication skills
