Keewaytinook Okimakanak seeks a Full-Time Water/Wastewater Operator to ensure the effective treatment of water for First Nations communities. This role emphasizes adherence to best practices and compliance standards in water management.

In this position, you will engage in all operational tasks and maintenance for the water and wastewater facilities, contributing to the well-being of the communities served. You will monitor systems, conduct regulatory sampling, troubleshoot issues, and assure the safe operation of treatment plants and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine maintenance and operational tasks
• Adjust and evaluate equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Collect water samples for regulatory compliance




• Manage on-call shifts for emergency responses
• Develop professional relationships within First Nations

Requirements:
• Training in water/wastewater operations and related fields
• Robust communication skills in public and internal settings
• Experience working with First Nation communities preferred
• Comfortable with technology used in water management
• Clean driver's abstract required for vehicle operation
