Job Summary L'employé(e) sera responsable de soutenir la conception des enroulements de générateurs pour les nouveaux projets hydroélectriques ainsi que pour les projets de rénovation dans différentes régions, et de fournir un soutien technique aux ingénieurs concepteurs, à la chaîne d'approvisionnement et aux activités sur site liées aux questions électriques des générateurs. The employee will be responsible to support the design of generator windings for current and refurbishment hydro projects across different regions and to provide technical support to design engineers, supply chain and site activities related to generator electrical topics.
Responsibilities Support design engineers on electrical topics for generator winding design, testing specifications, and customer discussions.
Provide technical support to factories, supply chain, and site teams on electrical topics and insulation systems throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead cost‑reduction and improvement actions related to generator windings.
Participate in validation of winding design tools updates.
Deliver design work packages for generator windings using technical guidelines and reference projects.
Participate in design review meetings with other engineers, functions, and consulting engineers.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university or college.
Strong knowledge of electrical design, electromagnetism, and insulation systems.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydro generator electrical design and insulation systems.
Member of Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Ability to work in a multicultural and multi‑locational environment and willingness to travel.
Proficiency in French and/or English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications / Characteristics Knowledge of CAD tools.
Good analytical skills.
Team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and adapt to business needs.
Proactiveness, sense of urgency, and autonomy.
Established communication and leadership skills.
