Overview Note: you will not be auditioning for a specific role. We want you to perform a script and part of a song for your auditions. The script and song you perform will give us a valuable idea about your acting and singing style and help us work out which students will suit each character best.
Audition schedule Auditions are on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th June at 3:10pm
You will need to come to both days and stay until you have auditioned
Auditions will be in the music department, and they will run until 5pm each day.
At the audition you will get to perform your script and song without any other students in the room (but you can bring someone with you for support if you want).
Preparation Pick ONE song and ONE scene to learn for your audition.
It doesn’t matter which one you pick, but if you have a specific role in mind you’d like to be considered for, choose the song that best suits that character.
We would prefer that you learn the song and scene from memory but if you do need to have the script or sheet music on you, you may print it or have it on your phone during your audition.

In your audition, we’ll read the other parts. We want you to ACT, not just say the lines, so consider how the character would say these lines and what they might be done. You can have the script with you in the audition if you need to but we’d ideally like you to perform from memory.
This is the version without vocals. This is the version that will be used during your audition so practice your song with this track.
This is the version with vocals – this is a guide to help you learn how to sing it. You will not use this version during your audition, so make sure you practice using the ‘audition track’ once you’ve started to get the hang of it.
This is the notated version of the song containing lyrics and notes. Use this to help you learn the song. You can have this with you in the audition if you need to but we’d ideally like you to perform from memory.
