Responsibilities

Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and record keeping

Implement an Emergent Curriculum

Support children’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being

Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development

Complete attendance records and health & safety checks

Collaborate with professionals such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as needed

Support children through daily routines and classroom transitions





Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Skills & Competencies

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively communicate with children, families, and colleagues

Proficiency with computer systems for documentation and classroom operations

Collaborative team player with a positive attitude

Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative

Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

Valid BC ECE license

Current Criminal Record Check

Valid Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR certification

Up-to-date immunizations

Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 45 lbs
