What are your contributions to the team? Plan, organize, motivate and supervise the activities of 15 to 25 union employees on the day shift. Assume all human resources management responsibilities for the team. Coordinate quality support to production teams. Identify, document and standardize key processes to achieve objectives and share best practices across the organization. Manage the budgets of your group and ensure product quality. Plan the daily operations of your sector and follow up on execution. Report on and analyze indicators related to productivity, quality, health and safety, absenteeism, etc. Resolve problems efficiently and in a timely manner.
Maintain communication with other departments regarding issues related to your sector. Ensure continuous improvement using operational excellence concepts and problem‑solving processes. Ensure employee training, evaluate performance and progress. Promote a work environment based on teamwork and open communication. Exercise leadership while respecting the vision and values of Bombardier and coach your team to develop their talent within the organization.
How to thrive in this role? Bachelor's degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or a college diploma combined with several years of experience in methods and/or quality roles, with emphasis on quality assurance, project management, problem solving and/or continuous improvement.
Excellent management skills.
Ability to exercise good judgment, flexibility, and a results-oriented approach; able to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
Strong initiative and readiness to work with a high-performing team.
Good organizational skills and excellent technical knowledge.
Strong communication and leadership talents.
Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Good communication skills in both English and French (bilingualism is an asset).
