Supports ongoing activities and analyzes future needs.
Provide technical systems support for the development, enhancement, and maintenance of automated systems applications. Duties include requirement analysts, system design, coding, testing and troubleshooting.
The IBM I (iSeries/AS400) programmer/analysts are responsible for designing, writing and maintaining RPG programs.
Experience and knowledge of IT applications for manufacturing and distribution is a prerequisite.
Must have manufacturing experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Design, write and maintain RPG programs.
Design, create and test new systems and interface into existing systems when necessary.
Maintain existing 3rd party programs, Sterling GENTRAN.
Serve as a resource for other members in the department as needed.
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience working in a Programmer or Analyst role or related experience.
Ability to write code in RPG IV, RPG ILE and RPG SQL.
Knowledge of EDI and XML.
Previous experience with the IBM series is required.
Must have manufacturing experience.
Strong analytical skills to assist in writing and testing current code and automating processed.
Strong communication skills when working with customers on an internal basis.
