Enhance patient care as a part time Speech Language Pathologist at Toronto Rehab’s Brain Program. Focus on communication and swallowing disorders while collaborating in a multi-qualified team.
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role at UHN is essential within the Allied Health department. This position requires providing evidence-based assessments, treatment, and counseling for adult patients experiencing communication challenges. The SLP will play an active role in program planning, quality initiatives, and provide education to families and caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments for voice, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop personalized treatment plans for patient rehabilitation
• Facilitate communication among patients and healthcare professionals
• Educate families and staff on management approaches
• Participate in inter-professional research and quality improvement
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Registration with CASLPO required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in neurorehabilitation
• Experience with adult neurogenic communication disorders
• Familiarity with dysphagia preferred
