With the final phase of our brand-new, state-of-the-art emergency department nearing completion, we are preparing to open at full capacity in early 2026. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Calgary's healthcare landscape and brings with it the need for additional skilled and passionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our growing team.As one of Calgary's largest urban emergency departments, we provide care to patients across the full spectrum of acuity. Description: As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide secure, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited nursing education program.Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
Additional Required Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of acute care nursing experience obtained within the past four (4) years working greater than 0.70 FTE.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years nursing experience in a Calgary or Edmonton Zone Emergency Department.Triage and Trauma trained.Charge trained in a Calgary Zone Emergency Department.Bachelor's degree in nursing.Recent critical care experience (obtained within the past 3 years working greater than 0.50 FTE).ENCP (within 4 years).TNCC (within 4 years).ACCN certification.ACLS (within 2 years).
