Make a significant impact in substance use services as a Substance Use Clinician with Fraser Health. This role focuses on culturally appropriate care for Indigenous clients through outreach and therapeutic support.
Fraser Health is seeking a qualified Substance Use Clinician to join the Overdose Outreach Team and provide comprehensive clinical services. You will conduct assessments, offer case management, and deliver harm reduction education, particularly for Indigenous clients. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and recent experience in community harm reduction settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive social work and psychosocial assessments
• Provide crisis intervention and therapeutic services
• Deliver harm reduction education and resource access
• Build relationships with Indigenous communities and agencies
• Document client records following established standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and full registration from BC College
• Two years of relevant experience in complex healthcare
• Minimum one year working with marginalized Indigenous clients
• Valid BC driver’s license and personal vehicle access
• Up-to-date First Aid and CPR Level C certification
