Join HIROC as a Senior Claims Examiner and play a pivotal role in managing healthcare claims while fostering safety within the province. This 15-month hybrid contract includes some in-office collaboration and travel.

In this role, you will leverage your significant experience in claims processing to assess various claims and provide strategic advice. As you analyze documentation and negotiate settlements, your contributions will directly impact healthcare safety initiatives. Your proactive demeanor and attention to detail are essential for navigating complex claims.

Key Responsibilities:
• Review initial claims documentation and legal findings
• Conduct negotiations with claimants and legal parties




• Set reserves and authorize settlement payments
• Train junior team members on claims processes
• Collaborate with risk management departments for solutions

Requirements:
• Minimum of 8-10 years in claims processing
• Relevant post-secondary education
• Enrollment or completion in CIP, FCIP, or CRM
• Preferred background in property and skilled liability claims
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
