Make a difference with the University of Alberta as a Volunteer Management Coordinator in a hybrid environment. You will recruit, train, and support a dynamic student volunteer team on North Campus.
This coordinator role in the National Recruitment unit involves managing the U of A Ambassador program. You will facilitate recruitment and training activities, ensuring volunteers represent the university to both campus guests and the wider community. Regular coordination of campus events like Open House and volunteer recognition initiatives will also be key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee U of A Ambassador recruitment and training processes
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Ambassador program
• Coordinate and facilitate events for community engagement
• Mentor senior volunteers and support team activities
• Develop communication strategies for effective volunteer interaction
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• One year in a post-secondary workplace
• Strong public speaking and client service skills
• Supervisory experience with volunteers is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media tools
