This unique position allows you to provide essential therapeutic support to high-risk youth struggling with mental health issues that affect their job prospects. You will work closely with Youth Employment Coaches and mental health specialists, utilizing a trauma-informed approach to facilitate emotional stability and career readiness. Your role demands flexibility and an outreach-based mindset to navigate the complexities of youth experiencing barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer individualized therapy for employment-related challenges
• Collaborate with teams to promote emotional stability
• Support crisis situations and safety planning
• Conduct assessments and write psychological reports
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups if applicable
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in a relevant clinical field
• Minimum of 3 years providing therapy to youth
• Eligible for skilled registration in Alberta
• Strong understanding of anxiety and depression
• Experience with justice-involved youth preferred
