Join the Squamish Nation as a Curriculum Developer–Writer focused on Indigenous language revival and educational resources. Collaborate with community leaders to enrich cultural continuity and identity.
This critical role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, along with 5–6 years of experience in curriculum development and writing. You will create engaging learning materials for a diverse audience, including K–12 students. By collaborating with Elders and educators, you'll help address curriculum needs while supporting community identity and cultural transmission.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and write curriculum for both immersion and non-immersion programs
• Collaborate with Knowledge Keepers and subject matter experts
• Conduct research to inform curriculum development
• Create engaging learning materials for various audiences
• Support program delivery and assessments as needed
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
• 5–6 years in curriculum development and teaching
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with Squamish language and culture
• Provincial Instructor Diploma or teaching credentials
