Shape First Nations policies and support children’s rights as a Full time First Nations Liaison at the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs. Work directly with First Nations in Manitoba to implement Sovereign Nations Family Laws.

As part of the First Nations Family Advocate Office, you will coordinate with various First Nations to guide the restoration of jurisdiction related to children and families. Your expertise will facilitate the customization of Family Laws and foster engagement through training and resource identification.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate formal meetings with First Nations and present Family Law guidelines
• Collaborate with Nations for adapting Sovereign Laws as needed
• Conduct needs assessments to inform family law development




• Support governance structures and policy creation for the Nations
• Act as liaison to share best practices and resources

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Arts or Social Work
• Four years of relevant experience in child welfare
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Satisfactory Criminal Record and Child Abuse Checks
