Join the fight against addictions as a Mental Health & Addictions Counsellor on Manitoulin Island. Engage in comprehensive clinical assessment and case management within Indigenous communities.

This position, led by the Mental Health and Addictions Program Manager, involves collaboration with agencies to craft suitable treatment plans. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in counseling and demonstrate cultural sensitivity while enhancing community mental health through prevention programming and education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Create cooperative treatment plans with referring agencies
• Conduct assessments and treatment planning for clients
• Provide individualized counseling for addiction-related issues




• Make appropriate referrals to treatment centers
• Coordinate traditional healing access and cultural programs

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
• Ontario College of Social Work registration or equivalent
• At least three years of industry experience
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
• Clear vulnerable sector check required for employment
