We are seeking a skilled Playwright Automation Tester to join our team for a Microsoft Dynamics-based project. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test suites to ensure high-quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
Work Location:
Edmonton OR Calgary - 3 days office visit
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript)
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for Microsoft Dynamics applications
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies
Build and maintain test frameworks aligned with best practices (POM, reusable components, CI/CD integration)
Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects
Log, track, and validate defects using tools such as Azure DevOps or similar
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
Perform API testing and validation where applicable
Continuously improve testing processes, frameworks, and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
5-8 years of experience in software testing with strong automation exposure
Hands‑on experience with Playwright automation framework
Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and design patterns
Experience with API testing (e.g., REST, Postman)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Familiarity with Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
Solid analytical, debugging, and problem‑solving skills
