The Role
As part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will deliver safe, effective, and patient‑centred care to patients undergoing a wide range of neuro‑interventional radiology procedures, including emergency and elective interventions. The service supports patients with complex neurological and neurovascular conditions and plays a key role in delivering thrombectomy services across the West of Scotland. This is an opportunity to join a progressive and developing service within one of Scotland's leading neuroscience centres.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
Full-time, Permanent

Shift pattern - Monday - Sunday early/late, nights/weekends/on call

Base location - Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care throughout the patient pathway.

Provide safe, effective, and patient‑centred care during neuro‑interventional radiology procedures.

Support patients with complex neurological and neurovascular conditions.





Work closely with radiologists, anaesthetists, nurses, radiographers, and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical practice.

Contribute to the delivery of thrombectomy services across the West of Scotland.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to delivering high-quality patient‑centred care.

Willingness to develop specialist knowledge and skills within Neuro‑interventional Radiology.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Commitment to ongoing career development.

Previous experience in acute care, critical care, theatres, recovery, or interventional services is desirable but not essential.

Full training and support provided, including a structured orientation programme and ongoing support from experienced clinical staff and educators.
